First Public Toilet in Värnamo City Center

Värnamo Municipality saw the benefits of having a standalone public toilet and decided to invest. "It has also been a request from the merchant association for some time," says Sven Strömberg, property engineer and project leader from Värnamo Municipality.

Danfo Wins Procurement for Public Toilets According to LOU

Once the placement issue was resolved, the procurement process was initiated. It was carried out in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and Danfo won the bid. "Few in Sweden, if any, can compete with them," notes Sven Strömberg.

Public Toilet Designed in Collaboration with the Municipality

In consultation with the municipality, Danfo submitted proposals on how the facility could be designed, and the proposal was well received by the client. In November 2015, the facility was inaugurated, a Tetragon 120 with three toilets: two standard-sized and one handicapped accessible. Since then, Danfo has also managed the operation.

Public Toilet of Great Importance for City Center

"It means a lot for the city center to have a public toilet. It serves the public in a fundamental way," says Sven Strömberg.
