Modern public toilet solutions in historic buildings

With tourism an important factor, the provision of public toilets was important for Camarthenshire County Council. A relatively small town in south-west Wales, Laugharne is nevertheless a tourist destination as the home of the poet Dylan Thomas and a medieval settlement.

Public toilet in historic building

Old installation converted into a new public toilet

Due to the small, contained nature of the village, a new installation was not suitable. Instead, the client wanted to convert an old installation at the foot of the castle walls into a new public toilet. Danfo provided a Modulet in-build in the existing building, converting it into modern, comfortable public toilets while still preserving the external character. This public toilet provides one fully accessible facility and two unisex toilet rooms.
